Iraq plans to submit to the U.N. the confessions of three individuals arrested in connection with last month's bombings of the Iraqi ministry of justice and the governorate of Baghdad, and to ask for an international tribunal to try those involved in the bombings.

One of three individuals is a Saudi national.

Iraqi MP Hassan Al-Sanid, a close ally of Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri Al-Maliki, said that the Iraqi government would sever its economic relations with Syria if it fails to extradite those involved in the bombings in Baghdad, and also if it fails to prevent terrorists from using its territory to cross into Iraq.
